Ah well, State gave it a good run.
Nixon is our closer. We are officially out of pitchers. Certainly an improvement on the weekend, winning a game and all.

Maybe. Nixon is certainly capable of striking out 3 in a row. But he’s also capable of walking in 3 runs.
Also, he’s been injured and they won’t let him go long. Even if he gets out of this some how, he’s not pitching next inning (probably). Whoever we bring in next is bad.
