Shhh quiet. We need then to feel bad, put their heads down and lose confidence. I mean, we need Uga to win tomorrow.

Not really. We have yet to lose a series and it could happen tomorrow.

If that happens and State keeps winning then the roles are reversed with two very tough series coming up. The odds of finishing strong are not good as Tenn and Florida are tough games.

What hurts is that we only have one sweep this year and have struggled against teams in the lower half of the conference. Some of these teams we should have swept but in a tough conference like this, you need to take advantage of as many possible sweeps as possible.

I don't have anything against Arkansas being number one. But I don't expect them to hold that spot for very long and not drop a series the rest of the way.

Maybe so but rarely does the number one team win it all. I didn't expect Arkansas to be ranked number one or for this long. Nor do I expect them to win it all.

It makes it a better season when a team does better than expected than another team who is placed on a pedestal and comes out doing nothing.

I'm just enjoying the ride as the number one team as it was unexpected before the season. Now I expect with all this pressure, this team is bound to have a little slip up.

It is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved before.

PS: Sent in an Sec championship trophy for MSU. Should be here in 2 weeks.

I have my own version, "If you love something, set it free... If it doesn't come back, hunt it down and kill it"

Arkansas has only one sweep this year. The last time Arkansas only had one sweep for the season was in 2016.

It's the truth. As long as we're guaranteed to host a regional and super regional, I literally don't care. There's no other advantage the gain after that. The tournament is the only thing that matters.

Unfortunately we could drop the series with Georgia, Tenn and Florida. We would still not even win the west considering how well State is playing right now.

We really needed a couple more sweeps this year which could have widen the gap. But I expect Arkansas to drop a series soon and State to be in the driver's seat with how the schedule is setup.

Averaging like 70 pitches a start is quite different from 100+ every week

I don't know what baseball world you come from but 100-ish pitches per outing is not even close to arm abuse. But keep thinking your starters getting run after 70 pitches is normal and healthy.

+1, I agree. Tbh we aren’t playing great baseball right now. I’d rather win our regional & super and get back to Omaha. IDGAF about anything else.

Omaha is indeed the goal, but it is easier to get to Omaha than win the SEC. In the 10 years before Covid, 27 SEC teams made it to Omaha. It is also harder to win the SEC tournament than win your regional + super regional.
