I never knew why CDC hired this guy.
Probabyl because he saw potential for Texas to go to the playoffs under his oversight?

and Sark barely knows who the defensive players are
Holy shite you actually believe this

Now - Texas may be fighting just to have winning seasons the rest of Sark's tenure.
Lol what an overreaction

The guy has had winning seasons all but one year (his first with a different coach’s players), and half of the years he’s been at Texas he’s won 12 or more games

It’s time for bed, grandpa lol

Nah, too much money in the roster for that kind of debacle. A competitive team, nipping at the playoffs but unable to get over the hump is more likely if your concerns hold true.

Ok ok ok I get it. You Horn fans lost a close one to the defending National Champs by 7 points and if you had a serviceable QB, you’d have won by 14. Your defense is legit.

Ok ok ok you have beat two powder puffs by less than you thought. So what? You won.

Ok ok ok horn fans, you have another cream puff this weekend. My wife’s alma mater by the way. Forget that. You are ranked number 7 I believe? Just beat them and you’ll stay 7.

Now, my new SEC brethren, here’s some free psychology for you. RELAX!!!

You have a good team. Not great at the moment but good.

You will beat Florida, Miss. St, Vandy, Arkansas and the OU , Georgia and A&M games will be titanic.

You’ll be 3-1 after this weekend..

What I don't understand, if Arch was this bad, why didn't Sark bring in an OC/ QB type coach last season to develop this kid? Even Ewers could have benefited from that, he had trouble and got happy feet at times and his passes were off.

Seems like Sark screwed this situation up really bad over ego of wanting himself to have total control of the offense. Also, he needs to dump his terrible Oline coach even though they are buds. No place for friendship getting in the way of getting rid of poor performance at this level. That's what gets many head coaches fired.

Definitely an intriguing situation with many moving parts. The Manning element elevates the drama level.

If I were writing a book about the 2025 SEC football season, Chapter 1 would be called “The Bust”.

Interesting to see what the next chapters will be.

I’ve actually always felt the same way but for a different reason. He just doesn’t feel like an SEC coach to me and we need an SEC guy.

I know you don’t like the guy, but he does bring up some good points.

Let’s ignore everything else and just take the quarterback development. Quinn learned from him for three years and where was the dramatic development that was supposed to be so famous for?
Now we have arch, he’s been under him for two years now, and he looks like he just stepped off a high school football field.
These are serious concerns and anyone would be concerned about the guy in charge when the same issues are on repeat every season. And don’t get me started on his seeming inability to score in the red zone after what, three seasons?

Yes, we could do worse than Sark, but do you really feel confident that this guy has what it takes to build an SEC caliber team to compete this conference year after year? He’s a West Coast guy and that’s what he will always be. I think we need an SEC guy.

Doesn’t matter because he’s not going anywhere so we’re just gonna have to ride this out. But it’s not unreasonable to start questioning whether or not he can get it done after what we’ve seen.

Texas won 8 games in Quinn’s first year. They won 12 in his second year. They won 13 in his third year.

I would say that’s pretty verifiable development. Quinn unfortunately got hurt each of those years

im with you there. Sarkisian definitely needs to hire a play caller

Huh? You know Texas hired Sarkisian from a sec team, right?

we’ve seen improvement of the team year over year. It’s a rough start with a new starter but Texas has only lost to one team: the no. 1 ranked team on the road

This entitled attitude is exactly how Texas got into the rut they were post Mack (which ironically was remedied by the seasons Sarkisian put together the last several years)

One season as a coordinator does not make someone an sec guy. Everything about him screams west coast. I also give our defense most of the credit for the turnaround.

I know not everyone agrees. That’s fine. Like I said, he is going nowhere so we will have our answer in a few more seasons. All I know is that our defense has a monumental task ahead of them

Not this fan. I didn’t think we would make the cfp this season. I didn’t expect the off to be this bad, however

Maybe he can convince Lincoln Riley or Lane Kiffin to take a step backwards, become OC's and do the QB whisperer thing to make Arch good.

Wait. Arch needs a QB coach?? He's had his family's eponymous passing academy at his fingertips for YEARS. And he himself recently said he's not throwing the ball right now. Does anyone believe there is another QB coach out there that can right Arch? This seems to me to be the biggest issue (along with a coach who puts a kid out there that admits he's not throwing the ball right).
