A lot of coaches have made a comeback. People wrote off Pete Carroll before USC. It can happen.
it does, however, require an honest evaluation of the job you're doing and where the blind spots are. He's young enough that he can still turn this around but it's going to require some serious self-reflecting and admitting that, perhaps, head coach and OC is just too much for one man.

It’s the kids first year of starting. Anyone who thought there would not be growing pains is insane. This isn’t like the 2008-2018 era where you could have a great defense hold teams to 14pts while the QB and offense figured it out. Saban won most of his NC that way.

This is the problem when ESPN picks one of their "darlings". You can't question the fricker.

I wish ESPN would get off Texas jock.

It is his 3rd year, 11th game and 4th start

You aren't seeing the airballs and dirtballs. This is not a growing pain.

If I were the starting QB at Texas, the inept suckage would not be a "growing pain".

Bingo. Take Tennessee. They lost their guy, had to scramble to find a QB, who is head and shoulders better than arch right now. A guy who is in his 3rd year of Sark's "system".

What's confusing to me is how anyone could see what's going on and think "Everything is fine. Trust the process"

Your sudden surge as a contender had more to do with Sark’s recruiting and offensive play calling than any built in advantage

Well that and possibly the easiest schedule in the SEC for 2 years.

Arch is the guy he wanted. He recruited him for several years. Either sark can't coach him up or he completely missed on his evaluation. I don't know which is worse.

If Sark missed the mark so badly, then so did every other offensive coordinator qb coach head coach in the country. Any team not recruiting Arch simply wasn’t capable of being a good fit for either him or his family.

As for whether he can “coach him up” or not.. I don’t know. That’s for the coaches to decide who gives the best opportunity to win. We might have Simpson much further in his development as well if he’d been given more opportunities in the games which were well in hand. Perhaps enough that the team wouldn’t have laid an egg at FSU :dunno/

Texas fans fighting with each other while all that money and Texas swag can't put up 30 pts against a team from El Paso.

For the record, Sark is a good coach. Lot of teams would be glad to have him. That said, the Arch failure is squarely 100% on him. That's all I got.

I admit that's a good point but you'd think that after 2 full years of working with him, he could have seen this coming. It doesn't do much for his reputation as a "QB guru". Especially after seeing the lack of development with Quinn.

I can't predict this season much less the future. I don't know how this goes from here. I can't say I'm confident.

For the record, Offense has been Texas' only weak link through all of this.

Everybody think for a moment please.

yeah I don't see how anyone could argue with that. I haven't seen anyone call for sark to be fired. That would be program suicide. Simply think he's in over his head trying to be CEO and OC.

I've been pointing that out for 2 years now. Evidently I'm "not a real fan" though so, whatever.

Program suicide for Texas would be the reinstatement of all NCAA rules and regulations.

Because then Bama and Oklahoma could start doing their thing again, while Texas plays nice and protects it reputation.

Texas is never going through a Charlie Strong era in this NIL world.

Calculated, sarcastic meltdowns are the best.

Well done, sir.
