Brandon Miller better than Sidney Moncrief?

Please dude didn't even come close to Brandon's stats until his Sr year... He had to have a Sr. Yr..12.9 pts as a FR. Brandon is a Top 5 pick. May be the top at his pace. Next.

I know. Arkansas split with an inferior Bama team, so I'm guessing you guys go 0-2 against the current Bama team.

Arkansas set an SEC record that year of 93.4 points per game. For reference only the 2008-2009 VMI team is the only one with a 90.2 average since. Eight players averaged at least 7 points per game.

Moncrief was selected fifth in the 79 draft with Magic Johnson as the overall pick. He is a member of the Naismith basketball hall of fame.

Moncrief won two NBA defensive player of the year awards, five consecutive all NBA teams, five consecutive defensive teams and five consecutive all star teams.

People underestimate how good that team was.

They beat a Missouri team
that was unbeaten in conference play by 30 plus and yet still made the elite 8.

Great inside game with Williamson and great shooting with 7-8 players shooting over 35 percent or more from 3 including 5 at over 40 percent. 2 6:11-7:0 centers and another center who was a legitimate 3 point threat. Great point guard and physical defense. Great in translation and half court. This team had it all including Mr Thurman.

Martin Terry should be on the list as well as 5-6 others. Probably need a top 30.

The 3 point line didn’t exist while Moncrief was in college so this is not a fair comparison.

Both are/were very good players though.

Actually Marvin Delph was the GREAT shooter among the triplets. Lifetime 53 percent shooter and 3/4 of his shots were from 20-25 feet. With the 3 point line he would have scored 25-30 a night. As a side note he used his 44 inch vertical to jump center and was rarely beaten by players 5-10 inches taller

The list came from ranker.com and so it was decided by vote.

I'm sure it is a little biased against older players as voters didn't grow up during that time.

Martin Terry was the 1973 SWC player of the year and was drafted in the third round. He was unable to secure a position on any team because spots were already filled. So unlike going overseas like today, he didn't have a choice but to enter the workforce.

He still holds two single scoring averages and overall scoring averages.

It is a bad comparison because Moncrief is regarded as one of the best NBA defensive players of all time.

Legends such as Jordan and Bird respect his elite defense. He didn't play as long as he should because he had three consecutive injury prone seasons that led to his retirement.

That team would spank this current team as they were developed to full potential and had skills that this current team doesn't have.

That is the problem because they don't spend countless hours in a gym but use raw athletic ability to win games. But we have seen how that isn't working with all the losses at hand.

What made that team so great was that from the comment of Corey Beck was the team got the selfishness out of the way so that it wouldn't interfere with the season and everyone had a chance to shine.

Without a doubt, the arc on the ball with his shot was sweet. No telling what numbers he would have put up with a 3 point line.
