A lot of people misunderstood what happened with Dyer. He dropped a course without telling the coaches so he would have been ineligible anyways. But then he tried to hide it.

It wasn't his fault he didn't tell the coaches. How was he to know the weed was going to be that good and he was going to forget so much?

Because Gus was the one who got him to come to Auburn in the first place. Because the guy he came to Auburn with has been booted off the team. Because he's currently on CGC's shitlist, and does not know how long he's gonna be removed from the Auburn team.
