image quality of the photo kind of looks like a freeze frame of a video. Therefore that might have been one nice fireball rather than a maintained burn of that size.

I worked with a man from Ky that said he occasionally burnt his chimney clean with a big fire.

Chimney fires are like that. They can look like a freaking blowtorch and sound like a jet engine from all the air they're pulling into the chimney - but if the chimney is tight and contains the fire inside the masonry there will be virtually no damage to the rest of the structure.

Archibalds > every other Rib joint.

Also-I think Big Bob Gibson's was the original place for white sauce but I'm not entirely sure. It wasn't Archibalds, though.

My family always talked about The Green Roof, up around Sayre, as having the best in the State.

basic recipe

1 quart mayonnaise.
3/4 quart apple cider vinegar.
1/2 cup corn syrup.
1/4 tablespoon cayenne pepper.
Prepared horseradish.
Lemon juice.
Salt and freshly ground black pepper.

ETA They swear by it. They used to bring some down when they came. We would feed them shrimp and oysters and they would bring that. It was all kinds of good. I haven't had any in probably 15 years though.
