Dabo will not be a HC at Alabama. He does not fit the Alabama culture and I don't know that there are many fans that want him here.
All his rah rah, bring your own guts, shite is not really the way Alabama HCs do things. He has it made over there in Clemson, win the ACC, go to the playoffs every 2-4 years, almost win a Natty, and the fans will love him forever. That won't work at Alabama.

I think if youre in a position to choose when you're going to leave (which Saban is) its better for the program if you have a head coach in waiting and then transition from there. Hire Schumann as that role. Maybe Lanning at Oregon? I don't think its going to be Lane and I don't think it will be an established name like Dabo either.

When Saban retires, it wont matter who the HC is. I feel for the poor slob that follows him there. My bet is Dabo.
