I don’t recall a team that has fallen so quickly. Bama looked slow and outmatched. The crazy thing is it was most obvious at the line of scrimmage which was so strong for so many years. That team will be lucky to go .500. Bama is bad!

Welcome to the law of averages.

Bryant’s 1959-1981 brought you the struggles of 1982-2007… albeit there were a handful of great years in that span.

Now the price of Saban’s 2008-2023 has come due.

Enjoy it.

This is a good take.

I will enjoy it ironically.

I will say this as a spoiled, entitled Alabama fan:

The ride up to the top is a shitload more fun than trying to hold on to the top of the mountain.

Alabama fans trying to pretend they don't have talent is certainly a cope.

Did you watch the same team I did?

We may have some of the most talented players in the country but it doesn't mean a thing when they're either too lazy or entitled to work hard. Or if the coaches have no idea how to teach them.

So what do you Bammers think will get DeBoer gone? 8-4 bad enough to buy him out of his contract?

Welcome to the NIL era. They have these fat wallets that they used to have to strive to get to the NFL for. “Haha! Weeee Alabama!!! Weeee outbid anyone we wanna!!!”

Well cheer up. You got your stars. Mighty big payroll ya got there. Be a shame to see it in the music city bowl.

FSU might turn out great this year too early to tell. Might not end up being a bad loss for Bama later in season

They ain't got enough fight to make it there right now. Maybe it changes.

They'll be lucky to see if independence bowl if they keep the same level of effort up. I don't doubt they have the actual physical talent to win out. But it may be too late for this season already between the ears.

Seems like a good time to recycle an old joke.

Q: How many Bama fans does it take to change a light bulb?

A: 50,000. 1 to change the light bulb and 49,999 to talk about how great the last one was.

Not giving a shite or not having pride in that jersey is a subjective observation. What is & has been debated in the past 1-2 years is what's the effect on players with the opportunity to transfer at will & earn millions of dollars? That, to me, is a more likely issue than college athletes, who have competed their whole careers, simply shrugging their shoulders & giving up. Saban, from numerous sources, ran into those same issues in the pros & returned back to players he could handle. Some of today's athletes listen more to their agents / handlers than their coaching staffs.

I agree, but that's a coaching problem, not a talent problem.

As I said, BK has actually been doing more with less than DeBoer.
