It wasn't an issue until the government got involved. The solution is to remove what started the problem, rather than looking towards what created the problem to fix it.

It's not the 80s. Car loans are easy to get, and they are the most monitored things by schools. Hell, I bought a brand new truck when I was 18 in the military on a lower salary than the players get.

College sports are an area where more rules just create opportunities for programs willing to break them to get ahead. Not pointing fingers at any particular program. Or coach. Just the reality if you have a ton of rules governing calls, payments, etc. some programs will follow the rules more closely than others. And that’s not even getting into big money fans doing their own thing.

Co-Chair and Nick Saban seem demeaning, unless Trump is sitting in the other. Coach Saban can fix this mess, but others need to just listen to the man's plan to save the sport we all love so much, shake their head, and say Yes, Sir.

I hear this line repeated constantly “even playing field” - NIL with 0 oversight has made the college game close to unwatchable for the first time in my life. Anyone espousing this phrase is a great litmus test to having a fundamental lack of understanding about NIL currently

I think you should start with someone who has never understood it so that from the ground up, figure out the ins and outs talking to people who used it with lots of success so that they go in unbiased. That could only be Chris Lemonis.

College players who are household names and supporting a multibillion dollar business are going to get their money. They are also going to be able to transfer to whatever program is best for them.
