Like I said in the other thread, there are a lot of semantics being argued over this. That being said, I think Tyler Siskey over-reached with this poster. He did come from Ole Miss.

LSU and Miles recruited alot of Alabama players on this list. I guess Miles can claim Trent Richardson and Mark Ingram also.

Is this thread five pages of people bitching about like 4 players that Saban didn't recruit?

Richardson? Yes. But Ingram? He was virtually unknown until Alabama offered him late. He was headed to Wisconsin or Michigan State as late as January 2008. I don't think he had and other offers outside of the Big Ten.

That's all I've been saying this whole time and only you and one other Bama have been willing to say that.

No, it's 5 pages of people laughing at Bama for thinking they have to make shite up to impress people.

Face it, that poster's bush league.

Saban recruited both Jean-Francois and Byrd, but didn't coach either.

They were both in the high school recruiting class of 2005 (meaning they would be college freshmen in 2005). Saban was still LSU's coach for a big part of that process (all but the last two months of the 2005 recruiting cycle).

Jean Francois, of course, came straight to LSU while Byrd had to go the JUCO route because of his grades.

How is Saban taking credit?

It's just some bama fan giving him credit. Why is this an issue?

Actually Tyler Siskey is one of the support staff Nick Saban hired from Ole Miss.

The thing is the little write up that went with the poster said saban recruited and COACHED ALL those players represented on that poster.

That's just flat out bullshite.

i know his staff was recruiting trindon. definitely not byrd. (and shoutout to the misspelling of doucet) i actually think that we landed lafell as a package in order to get rj jackson (who was a saban recruit) but seems like we really went hard after jojo once miles and his staff came on board.

im assuming saban has no hand in this and its just your run of the mill bama newspaper propaganda.
