Say what you want about Kiffin. The guy’s smart. He humbled himself after a mediocre head coaching stint and became OC for the best coach in the game. There, he listened to the man and learned as much as he could.
He leveraged this and got back to the head coaching game is now a head coach in the best conference in college football. On top of that, he gets all of the cute college chicks a man can want…

I’ve never seen a fan base bitch about everything as much as bama fans do. No shite coordinators remember strengths and weaknesses of their former head coach. Coaches are paid millions per year to win games.

Either he was seeing the defensive alignment and calling a play because he knew what to run (as Saban so diplomatically said), or he was calling a play and snapping the ball before the defense was even set.

Why do you guys believe many Bama fans believe this? Many fans hate Golding. If they think sign stealing actually happened, then that means Golding had a real excuse. But they don’t believe that clearly because Golding gets blamed.

Those things aren’t mutually exclusive. I think Golding is in over his head, and I also think Lane had our calls. When you put those things together, you get a defensive performance that set records for poor performance, but somehow still had enough talent & coaching to finish the year with the top scoring defense in the SEC.
