He is always a step ahead. This NIL/transfer portal thing has been on his mind and as usual he is ahead of the curve. He has created a new role or need in college football. He is going to function as a general manager for the football team much like they have in the NFL. His total focus is going to be recruiting, NIL and managing the transfer portal to consistently bring in talent at the university. This is brilliant! He’s about to prove again that he is the best. Others have been successful at implementing his process but he creates the blueprint. Can’t wait to watch this unfold! Roll Tide!!!!!!

I just don't know if Saban is wired to not micromanage everything. There can only be one Head Coach and ours is Kalen DeBoer, it's no longer Nick Saban. Boundaries will have to be set and respected or this will never work. Just my opinion.

Tennessee let Fulmer hang around too. It won't end well.

Good thing Saban isn’t a control freak, that might wreak havoc on a new coach.

So you're saying he's going to have duties that the head coach should have?

Too many chiefs, not enough Indians. That what I want, the most successful anal retentive college coach starring down my back.

He is still there, simply because his contract says he will be paid for life if he does not coach after retirement. I loathe the day I see him strolling in on his walker

Nothing like having someone who doesn’t run your system pick your players.

So he left a job because of stress only to embrace more stress. Makes perfect sense.

This is going to be a beautiful disaster. I can’t wait to watch it unfold.

Oh yeah. He's already released a statement of support saying he will be there for whatever he needs

So we gonna see more commercials of him begging fans for money?

I kinda thought that was what made him retire. I may be wrong.
