Rumor

ah, rumors...

Saban is retiring at Bama... the rest of us have to deal with that.... the only consolation prize would be him losing Kirby and Lane this offseason, but even then, other good coaches will be chomping at the bit to get those spots...

It's not "news".

How many jobs has Saban been "reported" to be in line for?

Every year this board posts the exact same thing you posted - "what does he have left to prove?", "he will be given total control", "they are going to through the bank at him", etc. All that changes is the rumored team.

Bama fans aren't defensive about it - we are used to it. But you would think after 9 straight years of these "reports" all blowing away like a fart in the wind that maybe, just maybe y'all would quit falling for the clickbait from Bleacher Report, Profootball Talk, or whatever flavor of the month blog.

After what LSU fans have been through for the past 10 days, I would think y'all of all people would have learned your lesson and be highly skeptical of any coaching rumors.

Saban will retire at Alabama.

9 straight years? maybe 2-3.
If bama fans arent defensive about it, please see the above posts. Dont really care if he stays or goes. But I think he goes.

Well, it didn't take long for SEC ranters to go back to their original narrative after pretending to respect Les Miles

I have no doubt Saban gets plenty of offers but IMO he retires at Alabama as well. I'm sure a lot of this stuff is true up to the point of him agreeing and taking the job to a degree.

Would hate for him to go but if it is his wish, he has done so much for us, I would say thank you coach !

Then we will hire a good coach like Jimbo or equivalent .

Washington.

Specifically the White House, because the President always invites the champs.

He's had that offer for 3 years now according to "rumors" and he still hasn't taken it.

Texas has been "rumored" to have offered $10,000,000/yr also, yet he stays in Tuscaloosa.

It's too bad for you corndogs that Saban left L5U, but it is what it is. Move on.
