while i do find it dumbfounding that saban would make such an argument after his "lobbying" last year, we Tiger fans must remember Les' comments from 2007..."only team not to lose in regulation".

Miles was simply stating a fact. LSU didn't lose in regulation.
Saban's comments is so hypocritical it's just plain funny.

Everyone says he is being hypocritical but seriously, last year's Bama was ranked #2 and GA was ranked around #13. This year is completely different; I don't think GA should be punished by losing to Bama and I don't think TAMU should hop Bama either is they lose to GA. Now, if the margin of victory for either team is over 24, this changes completely. FL did have a hell of a schedule this year though.

It's entertaining as hell to watch you Bammers try to rationalize this clear hyocrisy.
Saban just suggested that a team who played their way into the SEC Championship by being the best in their division but lost should get a better bowl than an SEC team that didn't get in. Thus, he doesn't like that Fla. will get a BCS bowl while the SEC 'ship loser will not.
His only slight problem with that logic is that would've meant that last year Bama should not have played in a better bowl than SEC 'ship loser Georgia, which of course would've meant Bama could not have played in the NC. Yet last year he begged to get into the NC while completely ignoring the very argument he's now making, and which was made by others.
