Wonder what national tragedy saban is comparing this loss to?
Look these are little snippets and posters set to make the team have a goal or aspiration for the offseason.
One week he'll have LSU crap up and another, AU, another, Tennessee.
But not the Mississippis. No one cares about the Misses's. bit printing shirts like A&M (control tide herp derp) or LSU's "Take the Lead" are a bit obsessive.

I guess you just chose to overlook the Alabama themed shirts LSU had made last summer?
If you could link me to where I justified LSU having those t-shirts? Thanks.

I thought "Never Again" was a one time deal.
It wasn't even the first time he did something like that.

Edit: The point is, motivation is used all the time in college football. Painting a wall, using print outs, t-shirts, etc. are all about the same.

This makes me confident that priorities are straight in the program. Kind of justifies the "Never Again" thing with AU a few years ago which I'll admit I wasn't a fan of. Basically the staff just objectively picks whatever bad losses from the previous season, that shouldn't have happened, as motivation.

Contrast that to the messages in the AU lockeroom focused on "Beating Bama," where in reality they should be focused on "Beating a Conference Opponent."
leave it to a Bama fan to have this type of hypocritical justification

Weren't Bama fans making fun of this? But decorating your locker room in A&M shite after you won your 2nd Natty in a row is somehow justifiable. "Different levels of programs! Rawl Tahd."
As I pointed out earlier, these are very different examples. Even a drunk cajun philistine such as yourself should understand this. One is drawing motivation from the only loss of the year, a game where a good lesson can be learned about complacency. The other one is obsessing over your in-state rival, when you lost every SEC game on your schedule, and you likely should be more focused on the fundamentals. With that said I wasn't one of the ones bashing AU a few weeks back, I don't really care what they put in their locker room. I'm just here pointing out your obvious intellectual shortcomings.

I posted the picture of said t-shirt in a response to you. It is already gracing the pages of this lovely thread.
You posted the picture as if I had at some point said I was a fan of the shirts. If that was the week leading up to the Alabama game, fine. Otherwise, I'm not really a fan of it. I'm not big on making your season about one game. If LSU made and was wearing those t-shirts around in fricking June, I would think it was dumb as hell considering the amount of time and number of games between now and then.

Saban is already counting VT as a W, it would seem.

so when Saban put the Auburn poster up, what was that all about?

It's no secret that all of 2009 was geared towards beating UF in the SECCG.

I can't believe this! Whatever Saban is doing, it's clearly not fricking working. Fire his arse.

I know it's not Saban's style to overlook teams, but let's get real. The talent disparity between Bama and VTech is too great for anyone to actually be worried. I'm much more worried about Ole Miss than I am V Tech.

LSU made those shirts summer of 10 and beat bama the next game, so I have no problem with those.

How do you know what the motivation was?
Did we not lose to Bama last year? Should we not be motivated to beat our rival?
Is the IB not a big deal to Bama anymore?

I didn't think the Auburn painting in the locker room was a big deal. I don't see why this is a big deal either. Coaches do this kind of stuff all the time. It has seemed to work for Coach Saban in the past, so I am for it.

A&M didn't make those shirts. They were made by a dumbass t-shirt company known for making stupid arse shirts. But go ahead with the faux outrage if it makes you feel better.
