You're clearly motivated to solely question everything Nick Saban has done at Alabama. So this needs no further discussion. No one can be this dense.

No I'm not. Nick Saban will go down as the best coach ever. What he is doing at Bama now is a top 5 run , but to act like Bama hasn't lucked into these two titles is stupid. Just like LSU lucked into its two recent titles. We needed teams to lose just to play in these games. JUST LIKE BAMA

I honestly think the results of Bama's and OSU's bowl results validated Bama's participation in the title game. That and how Arkansas (who Bama and LSU destroyed) put a hurting on K State who was the 2nd best Big XII team that year and one of OSU's best wins. These facts, coupled with them losing to Iowa State make it a no brainer for me.

Well, let's say that my CV includes getting my undergrad at Alabama and my master's degree at, let's say, Georgia State... and I got beaten out by my rival in sales figures for a quarter.
Your CV includes getting your undergrad at Duke and your master's degree at Northwestern, but also includes jumping up on your last boss's desk and taking an EPIC shite on his desk and then pushing his face into it.
While, sure, your CV is more impressive than mine, there's still the small matter of that shite.

You do realize that Arky SEC 3rd best in 2011 got pushed around by ole miss. The only SEC team I've ever seen actually give up at the half.

Rick, you didn't "luck into a title" when you beat the shite out of the other team who clearly deserved to be there.
You DID "get lucky" to get into the game, but only a complete jackass would say you lucked into it when you destroyed the top team in the country (other than yourself) once you got there.

I think you do the players and coaches of the teams that win the upsets a disservice when you dismiss their victories as luck. Baylor worked hard and exposed K State. Stanford worked hard to bottle up Oregon's super amazing world-beating offense. When you attribute their victories pathing the way for Bama to just luck, it's kind of rude. I wouldn't have said it was super lucky for K State that A&M beat Bama allowing them to take the #1 spot. A&M deserved to win that day.

I agree. But it was the first time résumé was not used. Be honest, this is the first time you ever heard a team getting into a BCSCG on EYEBALL TEST.
