Kalen DeBoer's staff is consulting with Nick Saban to adapt Saban's defense under the new staff. The man's shadow is long.

Alabama DC Kane Wommack told @NextRoundLive he met with Nick Saban for a second time this morning about Alabama's defense. Wommack told his wife it was like "cramming for a final" before the meeting.

Saban is a great resource. Like Deboer said, they'd be crazy not to use his wisdom. Saban don't much about offense, but he does know defense.

Only problem with that is no one will give him credit if he’s successful. Ppl will say it’s Saban.

You can think that if you want, but outside Kiffin and Sark, he hired medium to bad OCs. Bama mostly won with a lot of talent, not great coaching and a great scheme. When Saban couldn't horde NFL talent anymore, he knew it was time to get out.

Was Bryan Harsin a cuck like Husky Harsin? Or did he actually have control over his program?

He played QB in high school and his offenses from 2014-2021 were pretty explosive.

Looks more and more like Bama doesn’t have a head coach. Sad.

If you are smart enough to look at the big picture, this is an absolute train wreck.

Because never before in the history of football have coaches consulted with other coaches to learn their systems and become better coaches.

Keep reaching, LSU fan.

Yeah, all the good coaches learned on their own and never had any one mentor them.

Saban never spent large amounts of time talking to other coaches and learning from them over his career. He never looked at what others did and adapted them to his own purpose. He would never in a million years think about calling up a legendary coach to pick his brain and get his opinion.

You're either born with it, or you don't have it at all. If you don't succeed on your first try, always give up because it's never going to happen.

Just another delusional idiot living in a fantasy world to cope. Might as well tuck your balls and start calling yourself Michelle.

Keep coping. 3 loss season if he’s lucky, and you know it.

Yeah this is ... not good. You want to keep an arms length from your last coach.

LSU fans have been doing that since you hired your "whale". All you got was a career 3+ loss per year coach.

Allowing Nick Saban to stick around after retiring is a bad move. This kind of thing never works out.
