Completely different scenario. He could convince recruits he was staying then because he had just gotten the job.
Not many Alabama fans I know think he'll coach past his mid 60's. His OCD will become a strain on his health and he won't have the mental edge he once had.

1 year under Saban is all a player needs to have a shot at a Championship these days. Laughable recruiting tactic and is entirely dependent on speculation.

His contract goes through the end of the 2020 season, that's when I think he'll retire.

How do you know he doesn't pull a Bobby Bowden thing and coach into his 80's? He's in great shape and like the other poster said he doesn't drink or smoke. I can imagine that's your worst nightmare. Saban stays for 20 years and wins 10NC's.

Auburn is on their 3rd head coach during the Saban era.
Alabama sends it's star Jr's to the NFL at the same clip as Auburn fires head coaches.
