Thursday - Sunday is thanksgiving to me. It's the one holiday we are all together. And as you get older and your siblings families grow and their kids get older, those times become fewer and further between. When I'm retired it will be fun to travel to away games. But for now 6-7 games at Kyle field each year will have to do.

TAMU..the facts..it's an average to below average university..on Forbes it's between #150-200 on any given year. The past year it's only the 28th best in the SOUTH..not exactly the bastion for higher education.
So it's an average to below average school, an everage at best football program without much national success.
People from texas are generally a narcistic bunch who don't realize that others don't think they are special at all..let alone better than anyone else.
TAMU is in awe of just being invitied to the SEC, and in awe of greatness..like Saban and Alabama. That's what happens when you don't have much success yourself..you live through others.
Two or three more years of TAMU playing 3rd or 4th fiddle in Texas...and lower tier SEC west..and there will be plenty of empty seats in the Kyle...just like before.
The smartest man in College Station..is the one who owns the store that sells those pleather boots. Probably a Yankee.

Actually, there are scientific studies that prove certain southern states have a ten point deficit in IQ points to certain northern states. Google it. I'm from Ohio and we aren't any smarter than West Virginia or Tennessee, for example. So I readily admit we have our share of dumbasses, along the lines of any SEC state. But in Vermont, Maine, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania, the population is factually smarter than Alabama folks or Mississippi folks or Arkansas folks. Ohio and Indiana and Missouri are filled with dumbasses. Illinois has an even split. All the dumbasses must be on the Illini football coaching staff, though.
