The bama dominance is built on Dodge chargers... with players able to jump team to team, the little man probably doesn't establish a winning culture. It would flame out quickly like his run with the Dolphins. Now, even with 5 stars 3 deep he can only win in a covid year with half the country sitting out. Not a good look.

this. ^ this right here got the tide rolling

Exactly. Saban has benefited from the weakness and inconsistency of other blue bloods. If they had had the portal and NIL to shore up those weaknesses, the story is different.

ND twice, Michigan twice, OU, OSU, USC. Yeah, they all looked inconsistent when they played 'Bama. What other blue bloods was Saban supposed to take care of on the way to his national titles?

Saban passed on Brees for Culpepper.

If you look at who we've gotten from the portal vs who we've lost you'd realize how dumb this take is. Whatever the rules are Saban will do it better.

Wrong. Saban wanted Brees. His staff wouldn't approve Brees because of his neck, or at least I think it was a neck issue. I can't remember specifically what the injury was.

Sounds like you’re really informed on the subject!

Thanks for that super insightful piece of information that you kinda know about but not really.

Seriously. That was epic.

I could Google it, but I just don't give a shite. If LSU fans want to continue to obsess over Saban 20 years after he left your asses, go ahead.

Feels a hell of a lot better than being a Tide fan. Knoxville is beautiful and we have the vol navy and the beautiful cathedral known as Neyland Stadium with Rocky Top blaring in yhe background during games with beautiful mountains in the background. frick Bama and Saban. I wouldn't want 10 of his runs to not be a vol.
