Via Saban at his press conference. Said it's not as serious as past knee injuries he's had.

Figured all the "reports" yesterday were unfounded.

I wish the kid well, and I hope it's true that it's not serious, but Saban has proven to be tight-lipped about injury statuses in the past, and it's just as likely that his ACL actually is torn but doesn't want Auburn to know that.

...Keeping this information away from Auburn is important. Defensive game plan would adjust if AU knew going in that bama was playing without a center.

Saban has also been proven to tell his defensive players to fall down in the end zone with a fake knee injury. After making the previous tackle and walking away fine... Right?

A small sample.....

-McElroy cracked ribs in '09 Title game.

-Chapman torn ACL and meniscus damage for most of his senior year

-Trent Richardson knee injury in practice before the '11 Title game, surgery afterwards.
