Half the list is QBs...have running backs become that bad now?

More likely that they're scrambling at short and goal, finding it easier than lining up under center and trying to push the entire defense with the entire offense.

Adding an extra blocker via the RB is just more efficient use of personnel in many cases.

It is offenses that have adopted spread schemes. The modern game calls for mobile QBs.

WVU's Hawkins is fun to watch. If he continues to develope a passing game he will be unstoppable.

I know people who are disappointed when Ohio State gets a commitment from a white QB.

I guess they forgot what Will Howard did for us.

A lot of teams rely on option reads and rpos for goaline plays. Defenses teach(or used to you to play rb first) forcing the qb to run or roll out and run or pass. The idea is to put hits on the qb. They’re not typically as strong, are taller(worse leverage), and don’t hold on to the ball as well. Plus it puts your qb in danger which limits how many times coaches want to go that route. But it puts QBs in more situations to get a rushing td

Hawkins made a nice throw on the run for the last TD but watching his 2nd TD run seemed like just bad and slow D to be honest.

Lots of TDs and long plays happen like that. Once the defense recovered, he blew by them. I wish Ohio State will go after him if he enters the portal.
