Years ago, I heard somebody from KY describe Rupp as a "wine and cheese" crowd, who show up, but sit on their hands, and demand to be entertained.
I mean when your #1 fan is a Hollywood celebutard who hates Chik-fil-a, I think that's all you need to know.

Our home crowd sucks, our best fans are the ones who go to the away game and neutral site games. They're actually loud.

It's the ticket distribution. Because of the lottery selection for lower level season tickets you have a bunch of old money fricks hoarding them and sitting on their hands half of the game.
It's the one drawback to staying in Rupp and not building a new arena. Build suites and reconfigure seating and you eliminate some of that problem.

Because season tickets can be tens of thousands of dollars and people who spend tens of thousands of dollars on basketball tickets don't get rowdy.

Older fans sit in the bottom level at Rupp and don't do anything(we call them blue hairs, but most of them are very rich so they can afford those seats). I've heard of many cases where fans will be up and cheering for UK during a game and a blue hair will ask them to sit down. They just don't get loud.

It is kind of embarrassing when the loudest part of the game has been the fans cheering in an attempt to win Chick-fil-a. And I say that as someone who loves Chick-fil-a.
