As a Bama Alum, I have mixed feelings, I find that hysterical but it's somewhat embarrassing to have this association withy Alma Mater. All I can do is shake my head and laugh.

Auburn does something similar but its indoors and the players etc sit at tables/stations. Not nearly as chaotic.

Is that ring hat/helmet thing available for sale or did that guy make that thing? Its tacky as hell, but good job on the make if he did it. Experience in the prison woodshop pays off.

LSU does the same. Also it's a ton of kids and they actually monitor what people are bringing in to have signed. You can't roll in there with a duffle bag of footballs or 11 mini helmets. It's one item per person.

UGA does too. And people camp out, but only because at a certain time they hand out a select number of tickets to get autographs and photos with Richt and Uga. Otherwise, the players from multiple sports (including football) all hang out in the concourses and on the field at different stations to sign autographs and take pictures. It's almost entirely kids and their parents. You'll have plenty of adults trickle in throughout the day, mostly just to shake hands and try to make small talk with the players about the season.

Yeah, I think most schools have some sort of way for fans to meet players and coaches. bama is the only one I have seen where adults are sprinting across the field like a herd of wildebeest.
