Me, for one. I’m not sure what’s so much better about southern Cal, unless you like live poetry readings or something. And heck, I’m sure OM has some of that as well. Cal is an overpriced, overhyped gold rush state that is on its way down, not least because the Colorado River is drying up. There’s some serious ecological and political peril in that state’s very near future.

I graduated from Ole Miss and lived in Oxford for years. I’m as big a homer as there is when it comes to my alma mater and my love for Oxford as one of the best college towns in America. But that is the dumbest shite I’ve ever read.

Hmm, would I rather spend my weekends at Proud Larry’s or off the coast of Malibu on my yacht?? Like wtf are you even talking about?

I think Lane will thankfully stay at Ole Miss, but it sure as hell won’t be because he prefers Oxford to living in a mansion on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

I'd think Urban has no luck down in Jacksonville and takes the USC job in a few years. That is if he doesn't go down to Louisiana first.Bank it!

They only fired him now because they wouldn’t have been able to after he won the next 4-5 cupcake games. This was the only window to get rid of him. If they cared, they would have gotten rid of him 2-3 years ago.

Same thing happened to Steve Sarkisian! He wasn't impressive! Don't blame it on his drinking problem! That was USC excuse to fire him. They knew he wasn't that good after his second loss in 5 games. Alabama hired Sarkisian and so did McElwain and others. Where are they now? How are they doing? See the pattern? It is all Nick Saban doing the coaching and being able to win with those former HCs and after they left to get a good HC job they ended up being a flopped of a HC.

Florida State would be a perfect spot for Lane Kiffin. It has then national brand and could build that program into a powerhouse quickly. People tend to forget how good of a recruiter he his. He is one of the best in the nation.

They're both shitholes. Along with Alabama. That's why I moved...

why didn't FSU hire him a couple of years ago?.... FSU's national brand is waning, FSU has conservative fans who want a family man as HC, remember that was the knock on Norvell before he was hired.... Kiffin is a terrible fit at FSU and he won't leave the SEC for that crappy conference

There is no way Kiffin would do that.. I could see him stringing them out, letting the reports get out there’re.. and then publicly tell them to GTH and make them look like little..

Really says someone who’s team resides in quite possibly the worst city in the South. Oh and incidentally there’s this: LINK
