Someone must have told him that Gainesville is nicknamed Hogtown so he is conflicted.

Win a Natty.

Doesn't matter who is the coach. It's just the most awesomest job with the best facilities and the best recruiting ground eva...which is why they routinely fire coaches 2 years removed from championships.

I mean, it's just a privilege to call yourself the LSU coach and rather than keep anyone around after a championship, they just get rid of them so that someone else has the opportunity to be handed a title cause you don't really need any knowledge or skill to win at LSU.

Pittman has been great for Arkansas, he just needs a few more better players. If he stays I worry about him more than fisher or saban long term.

You aren't even bowl eligible and fired your coach 2 years removed from a Natty, but are taking the long view on a coaching hire.

OK

If Florida is pursuing him they will probably land him. It's one of 10-12 HC opportunities you just don't pass up.

Huh?

None of those things are related.

Sam Pittman is a good guy. Florida seems to like arrogant, cocky coaches. That’s why I thought Mullen was a good pick for the Gators, but you’ve still gotta win.

Good luck to the Razorbacks on their quest to the top of the SEC West. It’s a good story and a good fit.

Pittman’s not rebuilding Florida. It would be a lateral move and he’s too old for that.

Pitmen's contract jumps 500K Jan 01,2022. He also has already made 500K this year in WIN bonus . Money won't be a problem!

Arkansas >> Florida in every major sports program, men & women.

Fayetteville >>>>>>>> Gainesville

And people are forgetting that Pittman is in his 50's. The retirmenet community of Bella Vista right up the road is chock full of 50+ yr old honeys. Sam's too old to be chasin Florida poon around.

I really don't see it. Florida obviously has more resources than Arkansas but Sam is a unique cultural fit that wouldn't match at Florida. He has also said he wants Arkansas to be his last job. UF does need a culture guy imo.

That literally means nothing lol but Pittman isn’t going anywhere. He wants to be Arkansas’ coach until he retires. I think he’ll be a Gary Patterson type figure at Arkansas with consistent success of routinely going 8-4 and having some occasional 10-2 like seasons.

No, he's not leaving Arkansas---but it is
a golden opportunity for his agent, Judy Henry,
to pull a Jimmy Sexton and up the jingle in
in Pittman's contract. Kind of hope there's no rough money
squeeze involved though because Pittman & Arkansas
seem to have a special trust relationship going on.

I'm sure they might be interested, but I really don't believe they will get much past 'hello'
