Bottom line. Ball dead due inadvertent whistles (2), with no Intentional Grounding. Really did Ark a favor by allowing them to have 7 seconds left on the clock.

I am honestly shocked at the reaction of the arkie fanbase...2 mediocre teams fighting over who wanted to lose most should not create this type of reaction. The refs screwed up the call and replay was painted into a corner. If there were only a universally used phrase when such an occasion HAPPENS.

Franks is mildly retarded, it was wet, he would have fumbled and we return it for a TD. Only 1 part of that was hypothetical...do you know which part?

It would have been intentional grounding had Nix spiked the ball forward, due to the botched snap that the ball was on the ground first.
The SEC can't give the win to Arkansas if they wanted to, because the game wasn't over yet.
Even if they would have rightfully given the ball to Arkansas, Arkansas still would have had to take a snap on offense.
Which we just found out isn't always a guaranteed thing.

But when you are a team who has been the laughing stock of the SEC for years, in a season where people expected you to go 0-10. We could and should be standing here today as a 2-1 team with 2 top 15 wins( ON THE ROAD) and was beating a top 5 team going all the way into the 3rd quarter...no way we wouldn't be ranked today!!! Have you EVER seen a turn around like THAT?? I haven't!!!

Went from 35 votes in the coaches poll to 1 vote in the coaches poll when we should have just beaten our second top 15 team.

Couldn't do that because the whistle killed the play. This happens all the time where a whistle kills a potential fumble/recovery.
The only option that they had was to rule it a fumble with no clear or immediate recovery. Auburn's ball at the spot of the fumble and clock starts on their whistle. Auburn would have then had an attempt at a FG with time most likely completely running out in the game.

I guess you don't understand that fumble recoveries are often credited after a whistle because of the immediate recovery.

Sure, which didn't happen. You also understand that fumble recoveries aren't often credited because the whistle blows the play dead before the recovery, right?

Had a question about the penalty and subsequent 10 second run off. Could Arkansas have declined it and left themselves more time on the clock?
