Once or twice by holding onto the ball too long, and the rest by getting pressured immediately after the snap. Context is useful when talking about these things.

A&M has 14 sacks in the last two games (7 v Barn, 7 v Pig) so I don't think it really matters whose fault it was b/c either way he'd be under a shite load of pressure.

I noticed the line continues to move.
I wonder if this rumor is at all influencing the bettors?

So in a nutshell:

1. Milroe is arse. (Didn't say this at all...he has improved in decision making, but he does still have good bit to improve on ... to beat solid teams)
2. The best quarterback on the team is currently the 3rd string as determined by Saban ( didn't say this at all....Milroe may be the best option there is. C'est la vie I do think it's unfair to judge a guys game performance when he's taking 3rd string reps, but understand "why is he 3rs string reps"
3. UA players specifically the Oline purposely tried to throw the game against USF because they hate Buchner and Simpson. - they did suck that game. Several USF players had straight shots at Simpson with the effort by the OL being a nudge.... But it could also be lack of talent

Jalen Hurts was a terrible QB during his time at Bama. And, in the NFL he's a good system QB who is surrounded by heap of talent on both sides of the ball. Tua, on the other hand, despite injuries is regarded as one of the best QBs in the NFL.

He won offensive player of the year and freshman of the year in the SEC as a true freshman in 2016. He did fine in 2017 but had two bad games against Auburn and Georgia. He kinda underachieved relative to expectations after his true freshmen campaign but he was hardly a "terrible" quarterback.

A starter not playing along with the rest of the line having their worst game of the year and allowing a free rusher almost every play definitely matters.

And the only two OLines in the SEC that are worse than 'Bama's are Auburn and Arkansas.

OK then. Prepared to be shocked at whoever plays QB for Bama having the A&M pass rush in his face all game long.

On top of all this dire news, a really serious rumor has it that Bama will alter their classic uniform combo for this game some.

USF kept rushing their little 5'11 nickel back off the edge and he was just too quick for Proctor. Schooled him. Had 3 sacks.

eta: I just looked up that dude's stats, #0 Daquan Evans, he is a 5th year senior, and those 3 sacks are the only sacks of his career

A&M pass rush will get home plenty I'm sure, I just hope that we can at least give Milroe a clean pocket %50 of the plays, and when the pass rush does get through, I hope Milroe can wisely pick his lanes to escape and pick up big chunks on the ground.

This is reminiscent of Ole Miss talking about how many points their offense would put up a few weeks ago. Victory was all but guaranteed.

Honest question for the Bama fans.

Do you think the problem is primarily Milroe, or do you think the problem is Tommy Rees?

Cause honestly I think it’s Rees.

It's Milroe, straight up. There's open receivers all over the field.

I know it was against State, but all these things looked at least marginally improved last weekend.

This will certainly be a key. Watched the State game and Bama's OL was pushing around State for much of the game. Blowing guys back and opening holes. Minimal pressure compared to some of the other games. Lots of pancakes and guys getting pushed around.

I just don't see that this weekend. I don't think A&M just blows through the Bama OL at will necessarily but that's basically what they have done the last 2 weeks against Pig and Barn. That DL is really deep and really talented. Just 5 Star freaks everywhere and they are finally showing signs of living up to their potential. The pressure they are putting is also freeing up the LB's who are making a lot of TFL's and being able to make plays. I thought KJ would cause us a lot of problems but he never got going. Sanders was constantly getting the ball as well and finding he was running into a defender or his own man being pushed back into the backfield.

Miami had success because they had a solid OL and a QB that could read a defense extremely well and pick it apart. A&M did a lot of 3 man rush in that game when they should have blitzed, now they are being much more aggressive and certainly against Bama that would be the expectation.

So Bama either has to control the Aggie DL or Milroe has to make fast and accurate throws. I mean that could happen but that's not his strength. I'm sure he will try and run but the A&M D is very fast and physical and they have already shut down multiple running QB's including KJ who is pretty damn good at it.

We will see.

Bama DL should own the A&M OL. Johnson gets knocked out and A&M is in trouble.

I think Alabama will have some success running the football, much like Auburn did. The key will be whether Jalen can supplement that with big throws down the field off play action with what I suspect will be max protect, and whether we can score touchdowns when we do move the ball inside A&M's 30. The other key will be keeping the drive killing TFLs to a sustainable minimum, which will be difficult.

On the flip side, if A&M can establish a little bit of a consistent push in the run game then that will make life a lot more comfortable for Max. If he's comfortable then he'll have a solid day. If they can't and he isn't, I think we're going to terrorize him.

A lot of interesting matchups in this game. I don't have great vibes about it because of the key matchups seeming to swing towards A&M and our lifeless track record on the road against average to good teams the last few years. Would be a fascinating game to watch if you weren't emotionally invested. Will probably be agonizing for those of us that are

One thing I am glad about is that we just had to play at Davis Wade with all of those dumb loud cowbells. Obviously Kyle Field is a much bigger stadium, but it was great practice for this Saturday.

There's a lot of revisionist history around Hurts' time at Alabama. This is so because the last time Hurts played for Bama he led Bama to the game winning drive against UGA after Tua was hurt in the SEC Championship game of 2018.

As a true freshman, he got those awards b/c he was at Bama. But, he couldn't win a natty with arguably the greatest college football defense of the last 30 years. Why? Hurts couldn't see wide open WRs and couldn't read defenses.

Sophomore year wasn't that much different but DCs had a year of tape on Hurts and when Hurts played teams he couldn't "out athlete" he was no good.

By the way about those two "bad" games you say Hurts had in 2017 were games where he kept producing multiple 3 and outs and he couldn't see receivers nor read a defense. And, lets look at the WRs who were on that 2017 team. WRs were Henry Ruggs, Devonta Smith, Cam Sims, Calvin Ridley, Jerry Jeudy and Robert Foster. I don't know if a Power 5 QB has ever played with 6 future NFL WRs at one time let alone with 4 of the 6 being 1st round NFL draft picks. Hurts was a terrible QB at Bama.

And, Hurts had a damn good OL too. That OL corp that Hurts had has produced as many pros as the WRs.

Do you want me to list the OL?
