If there was ANY possibility of that being true, the game would be immediately pulled off the board in Vegas....is it still on?
Why?
I’m not doubting you, I’m just genuinely curious.
Wouldn’t the oddsmakers now be looking at a case where both teams are playing their QB2?
Seems like that would neutralize the situation/make it easier for the prognosticators.
I sincerely hope Milroe is fine and these rumors are false or exaggerated.
Looking forward to Saturday.

You would be the expert at playing back up QBs.

If Ty Simpson starts, you'll have nothing to look forward to.

Nothing from anybody here. Bama practices are closed so nobody would know the extent if true but nothing.....so far.
Not necessarily true... REC.

If Ty Simpson starts, A&M will probably have double digit sacks.

If by "a lot" you mean an accurate quarterback who can go through progressions, see open receivers and extend plays with his feet. Then yes, they'll have alot to look forward to.

The last thing A&M wants is to face a QB who can throw the ball. Milroe just isn't a serviceable passer.

This is the truth of it.

I hear ya, man. That Saban fella don't know his arse from a hole in the ground when it comes to identifying and developing talent. Would be just like him to have his best players sloppin' spit buckets on the sideline.

You would think if he was that much better than Milroe , he would be the starter already

This was pretty much answered on the first page. This isn't the first time an offense at Alabama wouldn't play for a quarterback the staff wanted.

It's a lot of emotional, magical thinking among many Bama fans when it comes to Milroe. But, the truth is running QBs who aren't serviceable passers have a short shelf-life until they have to play quality defenses that have the athletes in their front 7 to stack the box, sack them, and force them to pass. Saban knows this. I simply don't understand the "love affair" some Bama fans have with Milroe after seeing the inability of a running QB who isn't a serviceable passer with Jalen Hurts.

Saban is definitely playing the wrong QB... he's trying to throw the season and Milroe keeps improving. Damnit Nick wanted to go down in a fiery blaze.. now he has to play the best QB Bama has ever signed.. you're a dufus lol

I hope not…I’d like to see Bama at full strength at home…win, lose or draw.

Hell, I would be too, if I was covering the bets!

Dude you are dense as frick. Several posters attempted to explain to you in your thread on the Bama board that no one has a goddamn love affair with Milroe, we just simply believe he gives us the best chance to win right now, and we do not have some kind of secret weapon on the bench.
Its perfectly fine if you disagree with that, but quit acting like the people you are disagreeing with have some kind of insane, delusional opinion.

He is.
This is almost history repeating itself from 2014.
Word was (and alot of folks at the time sorta confirmed this) that Saban and Kiffin both wanted Coker but because Blake Sims was such a great teammate and Coker (by many accounts) stayed pissy because he wasn't just given the job outright, the team basically went on strike and wouldn't give Coker jackshit. Some of the same sorta talk has come out about Ty Simpson. Apparently he's hard to like in some ways.
Now because Kiffin is to quarterbacks what Ann Sullivan is to the deaf and dumb, the 2014 season worked out ok.
