quote:I am in agreement with you. I am cautiously optimistic about this year because of the experience and the defense. Getting rid of Mike BooBoo and the girl-playing left coast DC is going to be a boost up. Play-calling by BooBoo cost us 3 games, calls that were just ridiculous. The girl-player gets a lot credit that he does not deserve for his defenses. From what I understand, this new Prez is taking the bull by the balls and intends to right the ship
Auburn gonna surprise some folks this year.

Nice click bait
I liked TJ at LSU. He was put in a tough spot. I think he’ll be fine

If Finley can develop consistency with his mechanics and footwork he'll be fine.

14 players drafted. Not the same.

You mean like Coker, Jameson, T'oto, Gibbs, Burton, Ricks oh ok

At least you stole our quarterback.

it's not out of the realm of possibility that the line figures it out
and if the line figures it out they have one of the best runningbacks in the league who can help out while a QB finds a rhythm off of two big ole cupcakes before the Penn State game
if they can pull off the home win there, which isn't that big of an ask given how awful James Franklin's teams have performed in big games, then Auburn's season could gain some steam
.... they could also lose to Penn State and snowball into an awful season
SUCH IS THE CASE WITH AUBURN FOOTBALL!

You might want to be more specific with your Joe B's...

Is the defense going to be that much better? They were decent on defense and showed flashes of being great but did half the DL not transfer out and there is very little depth? Also lost their best LB to the draft and multiple starters in the secondary.

Harsin is gone after this season. I would not be so grim. Y'all will hire someone who understands how to recruit like an SEC program and be better soon.

Well, who hired them? And it didn't take long for Oklahoma State to come and get the girly man.

Don't give them false hope. You know they'll butcher the next hire just as badly.

Agreed. I think they will make some noise in the west, which will force them to extend Harsin as a vote of confidence following last off season’s drama, thus beginning the cycle…

Where did this come from?

I thought they lost a few DL to the transfer portal. I know they lost a few key pieces other than Bo Nix to the portal.

It doesn't sound like Harsin did. I think he was saddled with Mason, Bobo and Friend.

Harsin may not be the best guy for this job, but he doesn't look like a guy that would let a bunch of fatcats from the plains pick his staff either. I think the pushback I saw from him this offseason says as much.
