The worst I have ever been treated as a visiting fan was by SC fans. It wasn't so much the SCrooster type fans, but all the plebian fans were such fricking assholes, then the outside-the-stadium hood rat fans when I'm walking to my car made me feel like I was in the wrong part of New Orleans.

Went to LSU in 2007. Nice bunch. Several asked us to tailgate with them and the fans we sat next to in the upper deck shared their bourbon. I’d give them nicest from my experience. Epic Game.
Went to Alabama in 2010. I tailgated with friends that were Alabama fans there. No issues. Sat next to some really nice Alabama fans. Also an Epic Game.
2011 Georgia and 2013 Tennessee. I really don’t remember their fans being rude or nice. They just went about their day. Neither game was close.
I’ve never had a bad experience away, but I also don’t showboat or bring it on.

It's so hilarious how UGA fans think barking in people's faces is common behavior. LSU fans yelling tiger bait from their tailgate spots in no way equates to UGA fans in their adult jerseys running up to you on the sidewalk and barking in your face.

That was my thought as well. We haven't seen them since 2009. I was at that game, seemed nice enough before and very friendly afterwards.
Mark Ingram took the Heisman lead that game.
I can't imagine the majority of fans being assholes.
If anything, outside of a few isolated, over-hyped home games that get the fans/frats worked up, I've always thought things were almost too cordial.

Even though I have now been to almost all of the away venues it's still hard to say because, quite frankly, most SEC fans don't care enough about Mizzou to be rude to our fans 
I will say out of all of them the Ole Miss fans were probably the "worst" - somewhat arrogant and dismissive. It was really cold though that Saturday in 2013 so they may have just been pissed about that.
For the record, no SEC fanbase will ever be as obnoxious as Arizona State fans. We need to nuke that place from orbit.

UGA fans were really nice... but may be due to the fact the final score was 9-6 and both teams were horrible.

I don't know anybody from Fayetteville area who bothers to go to Little Rock games the past 10 years or so. You mostly get central and eastern Arkansas people, and a shitload of Little Rock locals with no ties whatsoever to the university.
There are some very fine people in that group, but enough bad-apples to make it no bueno.

Just because we have Urine Propulsion Devices doesn't mean we are rude. We just took the admonition that we treat visiting fans warmly, a little too literally. And we are the only true BUCKET LIST SEC destination and there must be a reason for that.
The only answer to this is FLORIDA. They aren't southern people. I mean, I know many are, but the NE flavor of their fan base makes them have all the appeal of a Jersey Shore episode.

Have been to most SEC venues.
We have been treated very well in all of them, probably because we don't have the history with most other teams and we are just interested in a good time, not stirring up shite.
Tennessee and Arkansas were the least memorable fan bases because they were so negative about their own teams they didn't even give us much trouble.

Watching LSU fans spit on the Bama team as they ran out of the tunnel was something I've never seen anywhere else. Was a fun trip with great food at the tailgates until that happened. Pretty gross.
