I’ve seen several references to rosters being due 24 hours prior to kickoff.
Would a player being on a roster violate the SEC rule, or does the player actually have to play to trigger the violation?
I think it is the latter, but I look forward to being educated if that is not the case.

Rosters are due by Friday. If the players who have filed suit are found to not be eligible, they will not be part of the roster turned in to the SEC office.

But if they are enrolled in school they can be added later.

Most rosters were turned in already. We turned ours in days ago.

Might be nice to actually talk football on this board some day.

I think you guys are the only hold outs. Why are you guys taking so long?

And some teams have their shite together and focused on game prep with rosters figured out a long time ago. Too each their own.

This
If they are students, they can be added to the roster during the season.
A lot of history of students being called to play on teams mid-season.
And I don't believe there's any law or rule preventing them from enrolling in school. I wonder if some have already.

The rosters being turned in doesn’t answer the question.
Is it their playing that would trigger the rules violation or their being on the roster?
