McClain is a great LB in college. He will probably be pretty good in the pros. But he will never come close to what Ray Lewis has done. He is one of the best LBs ever to play football. You geniuses act like Ray Lewis can't play anymore. Of course he can play and yet he is still the most feared defender against anyone's offense. If you can't grasp that logic, then idk what to say other than you are an idiot.

Yep.. Ro > Lewis... Ro has the physicality and the smarts to do a better job than Lewis. I can't believe anyone is even arguing against this.

The thing is that Ray Lewis is just basically a robot. He does what his coaches tell him to do, and he does it pretty well.

But Ro has serious input on what his team is going to do. He can read offenses like no other defender I have ever seen, and that easily includes Ray Lewis.

Exactly my point, Ro is basically our D coordinator while Lewis just does what his coaches tell him.

Lewis has played more games and put up worse numbers this year. Hell, he doesn't even have a single int this year..

Agreed, McClain is much more of a playmaker at LB.

Dude STFU, that's a UT fan saying that. The only people disagreeing with us are LSU fans, coincidence, i think not.

How can I be a homer for Bama when I'm a Tennessee fan?

If anything, I should stand out above ACL and Hunter as the voice of neutrality here. I have no love for Bama, but even I know that Ro > Lewis.

The thing I'm having trouble understand is even though McClain has better stats overall than Lewis, they are still close to the same. However, McClain is playing college football, Ray Lewis is playing in the NFL. How the frick can you guys say with a straight face that Ray Lewis couldn't put up similar or better stats than McClain can at Alabama? How? It's not like the SEC has the best offenses in the world.

My fellow LSU fans are embarrassing me by not agreeing with these simple facts

Rol > Lewis It's not even remotely close.

The SEC has the best defenses, because of players like Ro. You could easily plug Ro into the Ravens and he'd have better stats. He's got a better grasp of what offenses do than Lewis does.

Rolando's smarter, Lewis possibly more intimidating due to murders, but everything else is pretty much equal. Rolondo is taller though so Ro>Lewis.

LOL.

Next we hear how Saban was a better pro coach than Sean Payton but he just wasn't given enough of a chance.

Thank you for not letting your Bama hate get mixed in with your thinking.

Similar, maybe, but only because Saban and Kirby would know how to play to his strengths.

Better? Not a frickin chance.

Bama fans are getting more delusional every day.

Here is what one scout told me when i was talking to him about the Bama vs. florida game.
He said he still thinks Rolando will go in the 1st round but this is just how he grades Rolando as of right now.

"I will also tell you this - I will probably be giving McClain a 4th to 5th round grade. He isnt a great athlete and struggles in coverage unless the play is in front of him, and he is atrocious taking on and shedding blockers. I think Alabama will get beaten up by Tebow on inside runs as long as McClain and Cody are in the game. You might remember this, but Danielson made the comment at the beginning of the Bama/LSU game that he was surprised that Saban himself told him he was worried about LSU's inside running game - This should serve as a red flag to everyone that the media's hype on Cody and McClain is BS.

I gave Laurinaitis a 4th round grade and his production thus far has been identical to what he did at OSU - lots of stats, but almost no impact - everything off the LOS"
