I think Auburn should just sign Cadillac as the full time coach. He is an Auburn guy and should be able to recruit.

I'm just going to sit back and watch Auburn have coach after coach pass them up while Auburn fans have a tough time figuring out why.

Maybe they can hit it out of the park as far as their ceiling goes like Miss St did with Ole Miss, but the majority of the names I see thrown around by Auburn fans thus far are funny as hell.

I hope we can muster enough points for Carnell to beat Jimbo! Carnell is a great person. What Harsin did to both Carnell and Zac with recruiting was disgusting. They worked their asses off and had commits.
Carnell and Reed personally had Citizen locked up for Auburn. All it took was for Harsin to make the call and offer. Call was never made. Young man went to Miami.
So many other issues with Harsin.

Cool. We got to do the same with Bama early this century

Actually, being that Saban is now a short timer, the Auburn job should be very appealing. As soon as Saban leaves the state of Alabama is up for grabs.

Well I think it was pretty obvious why we had to hire Shula, but yes there was a time period when it was not at all an attractive job.

I don't hate on Shula at all because of that, despite all the loses to Auburn. He did manage to get the program back to being in a place where decent coaches would consider the job.

I was told by an associate yesterday that Bill Belichick would jump at the chance to coach AU. Seriously.

Saban has been leaving Alabama for the past 12 years. Also, that has nothing to do with Auburn not being an attractive job right now.

But yes, every new day is 1 day closer to you guys finally being right. And then you'll talk about "I told you so" as if you really had insight into things.

You dismiss Cadillac Williams but would be overjoyed with Deion Sanders?

Nah, Auburn is about to unleash a PR blast and air all the dirty laundry from the Harsin investigation. They have to the change perception in order to be viewed in a more positive light. The perception of Auburn Athletics and their Administration needs a serious face lift. The plastic surgeons (beat writers) are prepping and framing the narrative right now.

Calm down Nancy. I wasn’t making a prediction. The guy is 71 years old, at this point any year could be his last. I have no “insight” into what year that will be though.

For the first time in a long time, maybe ever, Auburn has the money people and the President on the same page. Auburn has numerous money people that can compete at any school and finally a President that understands the importance of college athletics for the schools PR program and loves the big sports on campus. You are seeing the results, firing the AD in August and then going after the AD he wants and firing Harsin the same day.

Bama is old school without money to put behind them in the future. They have all their eggs in Saban's basket and will not be able to keep up long-term once he retires. They will not be able to keep up with the NIL of some of the richer programs. Again, doctors and lawyers are not making enough money to keep up with the Tech grads.

Very curious to see how Cadillac finishes the season for them.

Auburn has to go 3-1 down the stretch to be bowl eligible.

Looking at the remaining schedule ...

State Possible but not likely
A&M Toss up
W. Kentucky W
Alabama L

It's doable but just not sure I see a real path.

I'm sure there's more to it than that. This guy was a RB coach at IMG Academy just 5 years ago.

This is a good point. AL relies more on large quantities of sidewalk and trailer park fans buying shirts, along with lawyer types donating smaller sums of money.

They don't have the deep pockets of some other CFB programs. Never considered that.
