You are the only person that ever brings that up. You've done it at least twice today. Show me the last time a Dawg fan brought that up.

Uh, at worst Gurly gets ejected.

Which is what should have happened.

Apparently the title got edited, but, really, when was the last time anybody heard of a D1 college game's results being overturned, ever, except in the case of NCAA sanctions? If that could happen, we'd be taking away Ohio State's BCS title.

I seriously doubt Richt is doing this for any other reason than PR. It's kind of petty -- making sure the whole world knows you think you got cheated and trying to make it sound like some virtuous quest for truth and justice -- but it's nothing more than that.

I am not wasting my time digging up every thread, but the mutts on this board have brought up Fairley several time since I first started posting here 7 or 8 months ago.

Fairley had already been gone 3 or 4 years by that point, so cry me a river that people are giving your players shite about their thuggish behavior last night. Couldn't happen to a better fan base as far as I am concerned and that includes the bammers fan base

ETA: Also, is that what the point of Sandstorm is while Carolina has home games? Getting the guys to keep their heads in times of stress and helping them make rational decisions?

It's an emotional game man. It goes both ways.

I know it is. And that's why keeping your head is so important. When Manning got that taunting penalty against Swearinger in that pre-season game didn't they mention that was Manning's first? You don't think people have talked shite and tried to get in his head?

So you condone your players forming a wall around him, head butting him, and not allowing him to get back to the huddle?

You think I care about your opinion? Frick no! If you don't like my posts, keep your butt on the mutt board. You can then be surrounded strictly by posters as moronic as you are

Dude. He had the entire roster of the Gamecocks surrounding him jaw jacking in his face throughout the entire game. What would any human 19 year old young man with testosterone flowing through their veins do? Turn to each player and say- "Why yes, I see your point and you may now borrow my grey poupon."

I bet you wear a Ray Rice jersey to bed at night....

Not allowing? Do you think if he had just kept walking they would've actively tried to stop him? Is that what you're trying to say?

He could've walked back to the huddle, Gurley initiated the head butt on BAW, then Diggs gave him a head butt, then Gurley threw a very sissy punch at Diggs.

Two things should've happened:
1. Gurley should've been ejected
2. Somebody should've taught him to throw a punch growing up.

Not really what he is doing. They are sending in clips they have questions about and want clarification on to point out to the officials. He isn't asking for them to change the ruling of the game or anything. Every team does this after every game by the way. This one is just getting a lot of attention because all the conversation about the calls. Pretty standard stuff

Well, I was saying that he wasn't looking to change the ruling. What he is doing -- and you're right, it's pretty standard -- is making a point of letting the media know he was dissatisfied with the officiating. He's not actually wondering what the rule is. He'd be a terrible HC, and he's not, if he didn't actually know the rules. Instead, he's sending tape to the league office and telling the press about it so he can complain about the officiating while staying within the bounds of SEC rules. He's technically not bashing the officiating if he's just "sending a tape to the SEC offices to ask for clarification" and making a point of telling everyone what he did because he, y'know, just figures the public has a right to know.

So, yeah, he's basically just telling the SEC offices that he disagreed with the calls, and telling the media what he's telling the SEC offices...just not in so many words. Most coaches do it, but that doesn't make it any less passive-aggressive.

Well it was a pretty big play. That would have been a large shift in momentum. I think it was quite the suspect call but whatever, water under the bridge. I'm sure this should be a familiar case to a vandy fan seeing as though last year we got fricked out of a win against yall for a bogus targeting call. At what point does it stop being "butthurt" and becomes a legitimate problem? Penn Wagers

I didn't say "butthurt" and, yeah, it's fine to be pissed about bad calls. But, frankly, it's a little beneath the dignity of a head coach to play the same game as fans on a message board play. I'm a little surprised that Richt is doing it since he always struck me as someone who'd prefer not to get down in the mud of PR hacking. I'd never have been surprised if Franklin had done it, but some coaches, like Richt and Saban, don't seem to be the type.

Don't you just love how Moral High Ground U is quick to judge other teams players, but their players are beyond reproach?

Why even tell this to the media?

It just seems like sour grapes,
UGA lost the ballgame. Move on, coach.
