I meant to say MSU played very good on offense, they are not that good on defense and its going to cost them a lot of games.

So you see no instance where MSU improves on defense through out the year? Even though we are one of the youngest defenses in the country.

I'm fine with Bama putting up 60 as long as State puts up 65.
Hate to disappoint, but Alabama actually knows how to play zone.

no you will improve, I just dont think you are good enough on D and a competent qb puts 50+ on the board during the game the other day.
Dont feel bad, our D issues may be worse

Listen clown, we don’t expect to beat Alabama. We don’t expect to beat Georgia. We will be 2 touchdown favorites over Ole Miss and every other SEC bottom feeder we play though. Go play in traffic.

Brennan struggled to read the defense because of the complexity of the pressure that kept coming up front.
Wouldn’t have mattered if Brennan had thrown early 50/50 balls to the receivers on the sidelines while they were still covered. With the offensive strength of LSU WRs vs the defensive weakness of the MSU CBs, those would’ve been 90/10 balls.
He didn’t because he won’t throw to guys he can’t see wide open. He just doesn’t have it.
You’re supposed to test the weakness of the other team against the strength of yours. LSU and Brennan didn’t do that. Those State CBs weren’t even tested.

Of course the way we played our 3-3 up front and confusing your OL had nothing to do with it. And no you did not have WR’s open all day. Part of our scheme in the secondary was breaking to the WR’s before the throw and making your QB hesitate on where he WAS going to throw.
Now, we did have a bad busted coverage and you had a guy wide open that Brennan was trying to throw to but our DL hit his arm as he was throwing and he threw it right to us for an INT.
Also, I find it funny that despite LSU front DL pressure and blitzes that KJ Costello stood there, took the hit but threw on a dime right before taking a shot he saw coming. We get no credit for that either huh?
ETA: First we heard LSU was going to have no drop off because Brennan was a beast and your defense was gonna be stout. Then after the game it was you lost a lot of players. Alabama has seen many years where they lost bucket loads of players and still finished in the top 3 somewhere. Also, it’s not like MSU didn’t lose a bunch and had several key guys transfer that would have been starters because they were crybabies and didn’t like leach.

Bama will put 60-70 on MSU
No we won't. We will win, but we won't put up that amount

Brennan can not read a defense for shite, atleast in that game.
I said this before the game was played. In fact I said it over and over game week. Lsu will struggle at the OL and QB position because of the 3-3-5.
Now go listen to Brennan and O post game interviews. The fact is the defense created his issues. It was not his ability to pass. Brennan flat out says they were taking throwing lanes away.
quote:
Mac Jones will not miss those, Jones isnt Tua but he takes what is given to him and those WR are going to light MSU up.
Fact... msu will be our toughest game this year.
Fact, we are not going to throw it 40 times per game.
Whats really funny about you post is that you think MSU didn't adjust or can't adjust or will run the exact same point of attack.
