I watched that game on TV (Cotton Bowl) at my grandmother's house when it happened.

Tommy Lewis was the Tide player, and I think Dickie Meagle(?) of Rice was the ball carrier.

After the game the press asked him why he did it and he said, "I guess that I've just got too much Tide in me!"

Awesome Coach

Good stuff

You should tell more stories so these youngsters can learn a thing or two

They just gave the guy the TD for obvious reasons as a result, aka giving the money back.

So if in fact I robbed a bank

Got $7,000,000

Got caught by the police

And I gave them the money back

They should let me go about my business

Who the frick cares? Maybe they did maybe they didn’t. Everything is fricking legal now so what are you bitching about? Maybe if your team cheated they wouldn’t have been everyone’s homecoming opponent until 2001.

Remember when the bama player came off of the sidelines

I think I do remember that because in that very same game some dumbass returned a fumble the wrong way and scored a touchdown for the other team.

Yeah, that was it. Today it is famous because if they had reviewed the play the other team would have been awarded a safety instead of a touchdown.

I remember it so well because just after that play this one coach was so mad that when a player for the other team broke a long run he ran out on the field grabbed him by the face mask and slugged him in the throat.

And before the game was over there were streakers.

Helluva a game, too bad you didn't see it live.

You are completely off your rocker. Why would you subject the Rant to such nonsense?

Tommy Lewis said he was “Too full of BAMA” to watch the Rice player score.

You appear to be too full of BAMA as well. Constantly losing in Red Stick Tiger bitch Stadium has got to be rough.
