The Incident: As the final Tennessee team bus arrived at Tiger Stadium prior to the Monday night game, some fans rocked the vehicle and threw beer bottles, cracking three windows and shouting obscenities.
The Aftermath: The hostile welcome backfired by motivating the team. The Volunteers went on to upset the fourth-ranked Tigers 30-27 in overtime.
The Apology: Then-LSU Athletic Director Skip Bertman issued a formal letter of apology to Tennessee Athletic Director Mike Hamilton, school President John Petersen, and the team for the rowdy behavior of the fans.

Right after Katrina-people were living in tents all over Baton Rouge-flooded the campus-flooded everywhere. Hard times down here.

I remember the look on Fulmer's face when the bus came down the hill and turned left to the East Side entrance. He was sitting up front in the first bus. As they turned in, an empty 1/2 of what appeared to be Jack struck the front window of the bus. It was an angle and bounced off, but he sure as shite saw it. I saw his face...
