Refs are holding back the SEC

Auburn shot 46 free throws.
Mizzou shot 29 free throws.
There should never ever ever ever ever ever be a game where there is 75 free throws shot in a 40 minute game.
Big XII, ACC and Big Ten never have this issue.
You got an LSU/Alabama game where they let the boys play today and then you have this game where there was a whistle over fricking everything the 2nd half. Where is the consistency?

The refs in this conference are absolutely abysmal. Football and basketball. Noticed it since our first year in the league.

It's not just the SEC, it's basketball. I am dumb enough to forget every year, but about halfway through each season I realize that the refs ruin it. Sometimes we win because of bad refs, sometimes we lose, but both are annoying. I get that it's an impossible job - there is no way they are seeing every bit of arm or hand contact and calling it right. But it is on par with flopping in soccer, to me. Not enjoyable to watch.

I watched so much ball today and only SEC games were horrible to watch.
Hell, the Missouri Valley game I watched was awesome referee wise compared to the SEC.

They're apparently regional but this region has shite arse refs that have collectively gotten together and decided to suck dick.

To be fair Mizzou plays a very physical form of D...the refs could have called many more fouls. I don't mind them calling fouls. I can't stand the inconsistency.
There was a sequence where they called a phantom foul on Mizzou, then let us get away with much more on our end of the court and then called an obvious foul on Mizzou the next time down the court. I know Auburn benefitted from the above sequence, but they let a ton go yesterday and called a few head scratchers. Inconsistent.

There was 4-5 times yest in LSU game I said come man let em play.

10000% agree. That Auburn Mizzou game was ABSURD, both teams in the double bonus at the 8 minute mark. And in the LSU game, Emmitt Williams gets a T for laughing. Whatever these refs are paid, it’s entirely too much

For being the most wealthy conference our officiating is horrific. Hurts teams in the tournament in basketball.

The same crews that ref SEC games ref ACC and Big 12 games too. There's no such thing as "SEC refs" in basketball.
So if there are too many fouls being called for your liking in SEC games over Big 12 games it's solely because our shitty teams don't know how to defend without fouling. That's it.
But I have a feeling you don't actually watch many basketball games at all because the SEC isn't unique in that a lot of our games turn into FT contests.
