You are fricking crazy... If the refereeing is bad and they finally do something at a pivotal point in the game, or at the very last play of the game, you are absolutely 1000 percent wrong that it can't affect the outcome.

You are wrong. No call or lack of call by a referree, even if a team is phantom penalized every single play or even if no calls are ever made when the affected team is being mauled, can affect a game if the team is good enough to win anyway.

Let's say a team is penalized for delay of game every single snap, even if they snap the ball with plenty of time left on the clock, a good team can overcome this.

Only pussies complain about officiating.

You’ll be lucky if complaints all that happens

Yeah, you just became the most hated man of the LSU, and now the Bama, fan base.

You are going against the new orthodoxy of those programs, I'm afraid.

God speed.

Not really. Just enough to get the gist of that youre blaming the refs for your loss

We’re in no position to melt over it my man.

Just be objective and talk about the topic fairly. It’s pretty interesting stuff. But no need to get toooo worked up over it.

It rarely matters.

The reality is that in most games a fan only sees the bad calls made or calls that were missed that go against their team. They never notice the calls that went in their favor.

Most of the time the net of bad/missed calls isn't significant enough to matter.

UGA had more penalties called against them for more yards than Bama did, but Bama fans are complaining about the refs. Why?

Because they lost.

Occasionally a game is called in such a one-sided manner that it warrants discussion. But last night wasn't one of those games.

I'm doing exactly the opposite of complaining about the referees.

Let's say an offensive unit is penalized every single snap for delay of game, even when they have plenty of time left, and never get a play off for 60 minutes.

Well, the defensive unit of that same team should be good enough to prevent the other team from scoring so that the referees can't affect the game.

If they can't prevent the other team from scoring, even though their team was never given a chance to score, then the team was never good enough to win anyway and it isn't because of the referees that they lost.

It's because they could stop the other team from scoring.

if the team having calls go against them or lack of calls doesn't allow it to affect the game. This is why no Bama fan should complain about the missed, game changing calls at crucial moments of the game.

No matter if no pass interference calls are made and no targeting calls are made and the opposing team knocks down every single receiver trying to catch a ball during the entire game, it shouldn't matter.

Even if every receiver on the affected team, on every play of the game, is knocked down and sat on at the line of scrimmage and no PI calls are ever made, the affected team should not allow this to affect the game if they are really any good.

Even if every single player on the affected team is targeted to the head and miss the majority of the game and no calls for targeting are made, a good team can win with no players on the field.

When all linemen are chop blocked and have their backs broken and there are no penalties for it, a good team can win without linemen.

Did any of this happen?

Not Jack Kraven but what do you think about this?

Pass Interference, or no? You act like only bad calls were made against Alabama. That is what is so funny. People have been complaining about Alabama getting all the calls for years and y'all always said it was all their imagination. Now that it is happening to Alabama is something that is egregious?

Yes. The no call on the PI was bad. Deal with it. If Lee had not clocked our WR your team would have had a chance.

We were missing our top two runningbacks and still ran up 455+ yards. Gunner Stockton had all day on most of his passes. Those are the two things that lost your team the game. I couldn't believe how much time Stockton had in the pocket.

Oh. My bad. I didn't know these takes were serious. Carry on, then.

You used to tell WilliamTaylor21, on this very board, that when things were longer they were better.

Privilege take. Not all of us are used to getting the Bama calls. Ive seen quite a few games from underdogs get taken away by a biased whistle

What about when your best WR gets a concussion and can't play from a missed call?

No effect??

Yes, that is the prevailing wisdom of some Bama fans. It doesn't matter what happens to good players, game changers, because Alabama's defense allowed Georgia to make some good plays.

If Bama's defense had prevented Georgia from making good plays, it wouldn't have mattered how many Bama offensive players were taken out of the game with illegal hits.
