If any of the haters took the time to listen to her complete answer at the press conference, she explained that she did it for 2 reasons. The primary one being that she...and the team...felt Clark disrespected S. Carolina ( "our sisters" ) by dropping back to the free throw line with the Cock's PG standing above the top of the circle; Clarke, seen on film, flicked her fingers dismissively at the PG. And then, the comment that really hit home,: "I do it, I get criticized, "someone else" does it, y'all don't say a word." I love Clarke but part of what makes her so fricking good is her attitude, she was talking trash the whole tournament.No one is that good without being a hardass. I am sure she was not bothered, she seems the type who can dish it out & take it.
