The little Taters from Columbia lost their shite collectively here last night. It was something to behold. Gamecock fans just realized that light at the end of the tunnel was a locomotive.

Who the hell gets "scared" over their rival doing well? I mean yeah it sucks, but scared? Really?

This narrative is hilarious.

Did any of us even melt? I've seen a few LSU fans say this now

Clemson just added serious hardware and USC's head coach is a pariah.

I've been watching college ball a long time. And the thing about the hardware just isn't true.

Sure it helps a little, but FSU didn't start to recruit at Alabama's level after Jimbo's recent championship.

I'd say any boost Clemson happens to get from this is minor, and behind:

1) How good a recruiting staff you have.

2) Whether the prospect thinks they will enjoy living somewhere for four years or so.

3) Lots more.

If anyone cares to crunch some numbers I'd wager you just won't see an example of a school winning the national championship and having a bumper crop of stars in the next year's recruiting class.

Dunno though, maybe it helps if you are recruiting across the country in California or something.

But I imagine that living in Athens as opposed to Clemson is a bigger selling point if some kid basically wants to play in the southeast.

My two cents anyway. Stuff like this championship, Clemson getting hammered by West Virginia, etc. just never seems to make a difference.

Heck I remember when Nebraska eviscerated Florida in that 90's championship game. The next day I heard some guy on sports radio talking about "The end of the Florida program as we know it."

Never happened. Next year, and the next, Spurrier did his same old-same old. Wasn't even a blip on their recruiting radar either.

The irony from LSU fans is so rich. The reason we went for Bama is the same reason you went for Clemson. GTFO with this BS. We beat Clemson in 2013...whens the last time you beat Bama?

The narrative is being pushed so they can retroactively blame the melt on us and act like Bama losing was no big deal.

Clemson has become elite in the absence of viable in-state competition

Seems to me that Clemson gets a lot of FL players. Supplement small percentage of instate talent with GA & FL is a pretty good plan to build a good team.

Clemson leads the series 68-42-4

USCe has won 8 bowl games in their history

It isnt really competitive over football in that state. People need to realize how fricking good Spurrier was there

26 game difference in the all-time series. I can think of another rivalry game where there's a 26 game difference. I believe the all-time record is 51-25-5. Can you help me out with that?

Bonus. We have won the SEC and National Championship in the history of mankind

Look, dont turn this into LSU/Bama shite.

I was simply pointing out there really isnt any competition over football in that State. USCe is one of the worst d1 programs of all time historically.
