I would agree, but not a three star, probably a high 4. Texass fans are already claiming that this is only because he committed to Texass. Personally I am happy with Jackson Arnold.

I think folks need to figure out who paid a college OC to come coach him in High School for one season.

He would be a mid level 4 star without the family name

I was thrilled he chose Texas. He plays in a joke high school classification and will fail massively at Texas.

Jackson has shown multiple times he’s the best QB in 23, but they will never put him over manning.

I haven't watched much of him on video, etc., and I'm sure he's still a decent QB.

What do you recruiting experts out there in Rant Land say about him? Agree with Rivals writer, Mike Farrell, who is the former national director of recruiting for Rivals.com, or not?

In all seriousness, I think he’s overrated. Plays weak competition and dodged the Elite 11. I don’t want to hear about how he competes at the Manning Passing Academy. Texas is now going to have to deal with the entire Manning family which will probably be a distraction. Quinn Ewers is much more talented. Arch better get a great NIL deal because he will be exposed soon enough.

Arch is overrated. He’s perfect for Austin

Farrell has been one of the best. That said he’s kind of outing their own biased click hype that goes into some ratings isn’t he? Seems like a bad business decision to say this.

Mike Farrell

We all hope he is right but, is he the GOAT of recruit evals? The GATORS along with 6 other SEC schools offered this kid. I wouldn’t consider Saban or Smart giving him an offer based on being a Manning. But what do they know about football talent? Not much.

They all offered Sopsher too, and anyone like me who saw him actually play said he was overrated.

He is overrated based on production against lower level talent. Kyler Murray and Bryce Young put up over 3k and 4k yards against better competition in high school and they weren’t ranked as perfect as Arch is. Arch had barely over 1k yards passing last year and only 17 TDS passing. If you look at last years stats he threw for 196 yards per game with a completion percentage of 62 percent. He does play in a run oriented offense so that can be an excuse for lack of passing production compared to other highly rated QB’s. However, if his name wasn’t manning he’d be a four star at best. Ewers numbers blow his away in high school. His name however brings lots of attention and recruiting sway. That’s why he was recruited so highly by everyone that matters. As much as I hate it, Texas was smart getting him. He will bring in others and when it’s his turn he should be surrounded by great talent. He’ll have a few years to learn why Ewers takes the reigns, but he’ll be good when he gets the call because of the players around him. I hate it as an OU fan, but from a recruiting and name standpoint, you couldn’t get better.

Bama wouldn’t have recruited him if he couldn’t play at a high level. Same for Kiffin. Same for Sark.

“Expert” from Rival… whatever.

Nobody dominates at Texas. No first round picks since Young …

You might want to check his stats from every game against decent competition. It’s pretty bad.

This doesnt mean he is overrated as the #1 player though.

Doesn’t mean he is a 3 star either.
