Well, he's right. Gus runs a simple scheme that from a developmental standpoint is reminiscent of the 80's Dye-era option teams. It's not a pro-style offense in any aspect.
That's not to say Auburn players would be incapable of being good pros, but they won't be acclimated to the verbiage, schematics, or various other complexities of the NFL game. We don't care that much because when he has the right tools in place, he runs one of the most dominant offenses in the country and is difficult to stop.

Louis, who converted to wide receiver from being a quarterback in high school, cited improved receiving statistics over the course of his college career as a sign not only of his hard work but the development he got from the coaching staff. He led Auburn with 46 receptions for 716 yards and three touchdowns and added 29 carries for 158 yards and a score last season, topping the total receiving yards he had during the first three years of his career.
"My role when I was at Auburn the first couple of years, I wasn't the primary receiver but my last season at Auburn I became the primary receiver so that required me to do a lot more things that I wasn't doing before and I got better and better but I was still working on it," Louis said. "At Auburn I wasn't a complete receiver, I wasn't a developed receiver. Coach Craig helped me get to the point where I am now. I got drafted in the fourth round, a lot of people didn't expect for me to get drafted in the fourth round but hey, a lot of teams see what other teams don't and that's just what it is."
Louis wished to apologize to anyone who took his initial remarks the wrong way and said he in no way meant to insult his school.
