While some of this is true, it is not the whole story. When A&M announced they were leaving the Big 12, A&M wanted to continue the rivalry but teasip AD Deloss Dodds had no interest in continuing the rivalry.

1. Texas makes no bones about they fact they “run” the big 12. If you really believe that Texas had nothing to do with lobbying for a Horns down penalty your dumber than dirt.
2. Texas AD, DeLoss Dodds said Texas, not A&M will determine if we play again. Texas ran from A&M. Only when the SEC prestige and money came in to play, did you crawl back to the Aggies.
3. Tech fans have akways been assholes. In 2001 the Tech fans threw the goal posts at the Aggie fans after the game. And yiur whining because one of yiur players in full pads got pushed by a Tech fat boy?

Also, this first came to attention when Texas, not the opposing team, was flagged for unsporstmanlike conduct by "holstering guns". This is from 2012:
So no, Texas did not have anything to do with that being a rule. If anything, we were proponents of there never being a taunting rule.

"Ran from A&M" after having a 76-37-5 record, but then promptly scheduled the then-defending national champion Alabama in 2018? Ouch... if that isn't a destroyed narrative
I'd hardly see how being voted in unanimously at 14-0 while a&m's AD was literally crying tears at SEC Media Days in response is "crawling back", but we know y'all are desperate for a narrative to break your way

Lol exactly: y'all said the dates were filled, so it wasn't scheduled. Which essentially nullifies the quotes from 2012 and 2016, both of which came when Texas had a different AD, entirely.
