It's better for college football when everyone can beat each other.
Its what is killing Saban. Since he's been at Bama they could buy classes of 5*s and they would win no matter what he done or who he had as coordinators but now everyone can buy players and poach the stars he lied to to keep away from other schools.

Couple that with having to play atleast 3 good teams per year and not have to just put one star QB out or play teams like ND that didn't play anyone and ended up undefeated, for a NC, and it's not hard to see why he's slipping. From 2008 until the NIL kicked in he had a cake walk with the talent Boosters got him compared to his opponents and keeping the talent away from the rest of the sec.

He isn't suddenly going to lose alot but he isn't backing into any more NCs until everything aligns like everyone else. His coaching ability will show from here on out.

Y’all are wild

Bama currently has the #4 returning class for 2024, just lost to the #11 team, and somehow the sky is falling

Maybe it’s not 2015 anymore but bama is fine

I've witnessed 9 NC titles in my lifetime. If Bama never wins another its been one hell of a run. Roll Tide!

This is exactly what they said about Coach Bryant in 1968 and 69 he went on to win the conference every year through the 70’s after two terrible years.

I think Saban may be getting ready to retire and if so good for him and thank you Coach. If he’s not ready to retire he will win again! He’s a winner and winners win!

Dynasties don’t last forever.

A particular coach’s dynasty obviously won’t last forever because they’re eventually gonna get too old/die. But many teams in many sports have had multiple dynasties over 100 years and Alabama is one of them. Despite the bullshite hysterics by opposing fans, Bama fans don’t expect to win a NC every year for 50 years. We know these come in waves. We’re very grateful to have lived in the Saban era but we’ve always known his time would come to an end and we’d have to start over.

If you think Bama will disappear and never win big again when Saban retires, you’re either young or dumb AF, or both.

You seem like one of the pleasant bama fans. Been through rides high and low. It’s the “count muh championships” ilk and tree poisoners that give you a bad name.

It's fine now, but where it gets interesting is if Saban white knuckles the thing for several more years and has to be forced out. Most Bama fans assume he'll bow out gracefully if they have consecutive 3-loss seasons. But I can envision a scenario where his competitive nature and ego leads him to think he can fix it or that he has to go out a certain way, and the fans turn on him.

What y'all gonna do if he be like

There's a small difference really between a team that finishes 11-1 or 10-2 vs a team who goes on to win a NC.

But it's that difference that makes a championship team. If any fanbase knows what that looks like, I think most Bama fans know.
