I don't know if you can count Mcarron week to week. He played well on Jan. 9 , but most of his passes were dump off to tight end and he ha a month to prepare. Most of my Bama friends thought he sucked throughout the year. If he can play like he did on Jan. 9th then y'all should have a decent passing attack.

Most of his passes were NOT dump off passes. They were tight throws to the sidelines with a few down the middle to keep the LSU secondary honest. I was not an AJ fan coming into the season and was skeptical through out most of the year. But he kept getting better each game and was fearless. The only bad game he played poorly was the Nov 5 LSU game which he played very timid in. There was none of that Jan9. I think AJ could be the best SEC QB next year.

The people in here proclaiming bama WON'T be great next year are just as delusional as those that say they definitely will.

I think logic tells us that bama will be ONE OF the best teams in the SEC. Just how good will depend on maturity and luck.

The thing I'm actually most worried about is a karma swing like we had from 09 to 10. Everything bounced our way in 09, and in 10, with the exception of the inexplicable USCe game, the losses came with some really bad breaks. We didn't really need anything to bounce our way, other than the BCS votes, but that was a really big break.

Duron Carter, Kenny Bell, DeAndrew White, Amari Cooper, Chris Black, and maybe Eddie Williams at WR

3 pages and no mention of AJ's favorite option

did we all forget about this guy already?

Actually the Tennessee game in 2009 was the only time that they needed luck to win. In their other three close wins, they outgained Virginia Tech by almost 350 yards, LSU by 200 yards, and had a nice comeback win against Auburn after a very sluggish first quarter. In 2011, Alabama lost the only close game they played all year. We're not talking about 1998 Tennessee, 2002 Ohio State, or 2007 LSU by any stretch of the imagination. Bama rarely needed luck to win games. They were dominant in almost all of their wins.

I feel that we have a better chance at a repeat than we did in 2009. We are far superior to the other teams in the SEC this year and I feel certain that we will beat LSU in BR this year.

I admire your optimism but Alabama will not be winning the West this season, and very possibly won't even finish second.

Think about it . . . with all those receivers listed, only ONE (Cooper) lasted the whole season. Bell was closest. And we still won the Natty.

Let's face it, Alabama is the best there is. We make up in the morning and just piss excellence.
