They didn't have to. Shane Beamer interacted with Spencer every day when they were at Oklahoma. That's real life not some contrived reality TV show...

Not saying that everything with they young man is rainbows, cotton candy and unicorns, but I think Beamer knows what he's getting into...

Rattler didn't really have a problem with his teammates or the coaches at OU. He seemed to have more of a problem with the regular students because he didn't have very good public social skills. He apparently didn't engage with them well.

OTOH that skill was one of Caleb Williams strong points (Caleb was in Norman and on campus for most of his senior year in HS and was early entry).

Rattler won't be a problem at South Carolina for the team. We will see how he does with their students and fans.
