You just making shite up?

As a Bama fan who lives in Alabama - LSU has not surpassed Tennessee - not even close.

That's what a rivalry is made of brah.

Neither team acknowledges an established rivalry.
Both teams acknowledge mutual hatred.

How bad does Alabama hate LSU? Probably nowhere near their hatred for Auburn.

Hence why we all know Bama and Auburn have a rivalry. LSU and Bama do not.

But I still hate them intensely.

Historically it really isn't a rivalry. I always hated Ole Miss and Florida the most growing up.

LSU beat up on Bama a good bit while they were on probation. Even then it wasn't a huge marquee game, just another highly anticipated conference foe.

After Saban arrived the game became permanently circled, and with few exceptions has really lived up to its billing. It also helps that the media has really been pumping the matchup.

While the game isn't a rivalry in the purest sense, the mutual disrespect amongst the fans has made the game very intense.

Why would we hate LSU? Outside of some dumb arse ranters on here, I can't think of anything.

11

For Alabama
6 (Auburn being 10; Tennessee being 8)

This, though for Bama I'd say 7 instead of 6.

I think LSU has a complex about its rivals.

1. Alabama (Bama sees LSU as #3)
2. Ole Miss (Because they Hate LSU)
3. Texas A&M (Underrated Rivalry)

I could see the Texas AM rivalry moving up to #1 but LSU has no true rival because it has to be mutual hate.

LOL at the Missouri fan trying to comment on historic SEC rivalries.

This a thread where if you would just read you would learn something, Son.

A half decade doesn't override the previous century.

Obviously the games have been more important but UT is still an easy #2 for bama in terms of rival.

precisely!

they have never been important until the last couple of years.

Do people think we have no history in our program because we had an abysmal 90's? We're 15th all time in NCAA history in wins and win %. We've won more games the last 10 years than anyone in college football.

We have more all time wins than Auburn and lead the series 27-21-1.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

To step this rivalry up LSU would need to beat Bama for 3-4 straight years and bring home a couple National Titles. Otherwise, Tennessee will always be #2.

LSU would have to own Alabama and Saban for a years to step the rivalry up a notch. But, I still think this rivalry sits at a ~9 because of Saban and Miles.

I think Bama fans will understate the rivalry because it makes them feel big.

The committee is not accepting any applications for a rivalry at this time.

I don't even view it as a "rivalry." I don't think a big game in terms of rankings/standings necessarily makes something a rivalry. I don't hate LSU at all (I know they hate us) so I have a hard time viewing at as a rivalry game. I don't think it would be a big deal to anybody if LSU wasn't any good like Tennessee, but the Tennessee game is still a huge deal to me. I don't think Alabama and LSU being really good at the same time the past few years makes it a rivalry. It's just a very important game if you want to win a championship.

LSU will likely never have a natural rival and people can just get over it. It's okay to fricking hate Bama even if they don't necessarily hate you back. The excessive need for them to acknowledge it is what sad.

Nothing can compare with the awesomeness of the Tennessee-Alabama game.So what if it hasn't meant anything since 1973 except these two goobers. Its "special".

But,Gumps. Please keep telling us how LSU means nothing to you (even though your own coach is obsessed with LSU) and cling to that Tennessee game.

Don't know about rivalry but this game is like SF/SEA and PT/Baltimore on a physical scale. Most physical game in CFB, hands down.

I think that any fan from either side, if their being honest, would say somewhere between 6 and 9.

Considering how non-important this rivalry is to Bama, and how important TSIO is to them, you would think they would rearrange their bye week accordingly.
